Debbie Storey

Senior VP, Talent Development and Chief Diversity Officer, AT&T 

In her role as Senior Vice President-Talent Development and Chief Diversity Officer at AT&T, Debbie Storey is responsible for identifying and developing future leaders, employee engagement and diversity management.

Ms. Storey joined the company in 1983 and has held numerous positions throughout her 28 years with AT&T – Including roles in customer service, sales, operations, network, M&A, and HR.

Ms. Storey began her career in the print advertising and publishing business, starting in customer service and assuming increasing levels of responsibility including VP & GM of the printing business and VP–Operations, Advertising and Publishing. She moved into the Network organization in 2005 as VP Broadband Transformation Program Management Office, where she played a pivotal role in the company’s transformation from narrowband voice to broadband services. In 2006 Ms. Storey was named to a key leadership role in the $67 billion AT&T-BellSouth merger. Post merger she moved to VP Sales, leading thousands of employees in consumer sales and service call centers across 14 states.

Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Storey served as Senior Vice President – AT&T Consumer Centers Support. In this role, she oversaw all operations support for the consumer wireline and mobility sales and care centers, as well as all online operations.

A native of Boston, Ms. Storey holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology, with a criminal justice minor from the University of Georgia. She holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from UGA’s Terry College of Business, and is a graduate of the Leadership Atlanta class of 2008.

Ms. Storey currently resides in Dallas, Texas, and serves on the Terry College Alumni Board, the AT&T Performing Arts Center Board, and the Baylor Healthcare System Advisory Board.
