Senator Rich Crandall

Rich Crandall was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2011 and currently chairs the Senate Education Committee.  He was previously elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2007 where he served as the House Education Chair, Vice-Chair of Commerce, and as a member of the Appropriations Committee.

Mr. Crandall is President and Chief Financial Officer of Crandall Corporate Dietitians, a consulting firm for the assisted living and long-term care industries.  He is also President and Founder of CN Resource, a national consulting firm that helps oversee USDA child nutrition programs.

He graduated summa cum laude with his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters in Accountancy from Brigham Young University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed School Nutrition Specialist.

Rich currently serves as vice-chair of the NCSL Standing Committee on Education.  He has been honored by former Governor Jeb Bush as a member of the Digital Learning Council.  He is a Board Member for A New Leaf, a human service agency providing services to the homeless, former Board Member and President for Mesa Public Schools, and former President of the Arizona Management Society. He has been married to his wife Patrice for 21 years, and has seven children.
