Behind California’s New Science Framework

In November, California adopted a new science framework for the state’s public schools, which will significantly revamp the science curriculum for more than 6 million students. Incorporating the Next Generation Science Standards, the new framework will guide administrators, teachers, and curriculum developers on topics such as environmental literacy and engineering, and new science tests will be piloted beginning this spring.
