At Battelle, Aimee Kennedy is Senior Vice President for Education, STEM Learning, and Philanthropy. In this role, she directs Battelle’s efforts to foster innovative educational environments that prepare students for tomorrow’s careers and colleges. Founded on the conviction that rigorous, hands-on learning should be available to every child, these efforts include the Metro Schools, the Ohio STEM Learning Network, the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network, and the national STEMx network. She also manages Battelle’s role as lead for the Army Educational Outreach Program.

In addition to directing Battelle’s national philanthropy portfolio, Kennedy serves on the boards of numerous nonprofits throughout central Ohio, including KIPP Columbus, COSI (Columbus’s Center of Science and Industry), the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and others. She also chairs the NASA Advisory Council Ad Hoc Task Force on STEM Education and serves in an advisory capacity for The Ohio State University’s College of Engineering.
