Arva Rice is President & CEO of the New York Urban League (NYUL). Prior to joining NYUL, she served as the Executive Director of Project Enterprise. Previously she served as the founding Executive Director of Public Allies New York, and Program Director of an Economic Literacy Initiative at Girls Inc.
Rice is a graduate of the Annie E. Casey Foundation class of 2014, a recipient of The Network Journal’s “Forty under 40”, a Community Award from NV Magazine, and received the 25 Most Influential Women in Business Award from The Network Journal. She is a Commissioner for the NYC Equal Employment Practices Commission, a member of the Greater New York Chapter of The Links Inc. and a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.
Rice graduated from the Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
