Tom Lupfer received his BSEE from Purdue and his MA in Engineering and Economics from Oxford University, where he studied on a Marshall Scholarship. He is the President of Clarity Design, a product development and manufacturing firm. Clarity Design is supporting the efforts of the Himalayan Cataract Project (www.cureblindness.com), by designing rugged and portable equipment to help eradicate blindness in the poorest parts of the world. Lupfer holds five patents and teaches embedded software development at the University of San Diego. Lupfer is married to Margaret and they have three adult children, John, Erin, and Julie.
