Victor V. Buzachero
Victor V. Buzachero is currently a Corporate Senior Vice President with Scripps Health in San Diego. Since joining Scripps in 2001, Scripps is the only California Healthcare Organization to achieve AA Stable Bond Rating, has been recognized by AARP and Working Mother Magazine as a top employer since 2008 as well as being named Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list since 2008. Additionally, Scripps has been recognized by National Association Female Executives as a Top Employer, Top Employer by Diversity MBA, and as Top Latino Employer.
Buzachero has more than 40 years in health care and human resources experience. He joined Scripps from the Providence Health System. Prior to his tenure at Providence, Buzachero served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for the Banner Health System and as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Samaritan Health System, which is now a part of Banner.
He led new programs for leadership development, service excellence, reduction in employee turnover, and improved employee satisfaction. His efforts at organization development and effectiveness were recognized by Franklin/Covey with a 1999 “Organization of Excellence” award. Buzachero has held senior executive roles in Presbyterian Health System (Texas Health Resources) and Baptist Health System. Buzachero is a frequent speaker at the National level on topics of Succession Planning, Great Workplaces, ROI in Healthcare, Executive compensation and Labor relations and has served as a Board of Director for various corporations.
