Despite enormous growth in the general population, Hispanic professionals make up less than 10 percent of the STEM workforce. At the same time, only about two-thirds of Latino students nationwide have access to advanced math and science offerings in school, and many students and families remain unaware of the opportunities available in STEM. Colleges and corporations are making a concerted effort to change this through scholarships, recruitment programs, mentoring, internships, and more. Panelists will address some of the biggest barriers and strongest solutions for reaching and engaging this critical population.
