Her current responsibilities include overseeing K-12 Federal grant funding initiatives and K-12 acceleration curriculum initiatives including those involving STEM programs. Through grant funding, she brings over $16 million dollars into the school system yearly. Over her 18 years of service in public education, she has served as a District Curriculum Director, High School Principal, Middle School Principal, Assistant Principal, and High School Chemistry and Biology teacher. She is a National Certified Grant Writer, Certified Facilitator of Dr. Marzano’s Art and Science of Teaching, and has a proven track record of increasing the school grade each year at each school she has led. A primary passion of hers involves creating structures to provide acceleration to students from traditionally underserved populations, creating opportunities for excellence for all students regardless of background.
